PositionTitle: (IT) Technical Project Manager: Link Platform – Randburg
PositionReporting to: Executive Manager: Strategy & New Business Development
TheLink Platform Project Manager will be responsible for project managing adigital application and backend platform currently called Link. The LinkPlatform will enable active citizenry in Municipalities, close thecommunication gap between municipal administration and the residents, createcitizen participation in the business of Local Government, facilitateoperational transparency and compliment smart city development. The backendplatform functions will also provide various tools to municipalities to enablestreamlined processes and better customer service. This candidate must be atech savvy systems thinker with good business acumen in order to identify andattract new business opportunities to ensure that this platform becomesfinancially independent, whilst still serving its initial purpose.
· Manage all phases of IT developmentprojects, including initiation, planning, execution, implementation, testing,training, troubleshooting and post-implementation activities · Develop detailed work plans, projectschedules, estimates, and resource plans in conjunction with project teammembers and other involved IT and business teams ·Define and manage the project scope and risks. Investigate and makerecommendations on issues that challenge scope boundaries · Monitor and report on project traction andprogress and, as necessary, coordinate the development, discussion, andapproval of corrective action and/or contingency plans · Create project status reports highlighting critical issues andoverall status of the project for management ·Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and aneffective issue resolution process ·Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to internal quality standards· Ensure compliance with relevantlegislation and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures · Team leadership, development and guidance
ROLLOUT· Market, communicate, guide and trainall users on how to use the platform ·Market, sell and tender the platform to other potentially interestedorganisations and/or Municipalities ·Ensure optimal usage of the platform whilst maintaining a strong, working andrelevant solution on a day-to-day basis. ·Troubleshoot and fix any issues as they arise and continuously develop theplatform to ensure the ultimate user experience.
Qualificationsand Experience: · Minimum Bachelor’sdegree in Business Management, Administration or similar · Qualification in information technology orrelated advantageous · 5 years’ provenwork experience in digital transformation and systems development · Experience preparing workflow analyses. · Experience leading and facilitatingtraining. · Experience with Projectmanagement principles
