Process/Quality SystemsManager

 

Operation: Rosslyn

 

Reporting to : ManagingDirector

 

TCTC Range: R50-R75K TCC pmDepending on Experience

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for fulfillingthe role of Quality Manager; this is a hands-on position.

Ensure the quality of theparts produced meet all customer expectations / standards;

Quickly and effectively takeaction when non-conformances are found.

Maintain the most recentinterpretations of the quality system / process requirements and therefore

ensure that documentedpractices meet the true interpretation of the quality

management system standards.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with customers’quality and engineering and production.

Make recommendations tosupport cost-effective production.

Provide engineering supportto operations ensuring consistent application of quality

techniques.

Resolve quality issues ofcapability, tolerance, and materials related issues.

Resolve quality issues,examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing support.

Effectively communicate andreinforce quality improvement efforts.

Submit PPAP (Production PartApproval Process) documents for new product launches and engineering changesaccording to customer requirements.

Review and analyze processand capability studies results.

Recommend changes toprocesses based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.

Participate in thedevelopment of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Create Control Plans andFMEA's to support throughout the life of the part.

Facilitate and promote use ofappropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis andsuccessful corrective action.

Perform duties in accordancewith quality system requirements.

Coordinate with Engineering,Production, and Tool room to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

 

Apply appropriate use ofstatistical techniques.

Determine and applyappropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.

 

QUALIFICATIONS ANDEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM TECHNICALQUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree inEngineering, prefer manufacturing or Mechanical

Five - seven years’experience managing a certified quality management system.

Exceptional mechanicalaptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes)

Proven track record ofdriving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the automotiveindustry will be preferred.

Customer quality assuranceexperience.

Previous audit experience.

 

PREFERRED TECHNICALQUALIFICATIONS:

Technical knowledge ofmoulding, painting and assembly processes.

Previous experience as a LeadInternal Auditor.

Project managementexperience.

Certified Quality Engineer.

Background in GD&T(Geometric dimensioning and tolerance).
