Position: Team Leader Inland

Position Reports to National SalesOperations Manager

 

Being the Team Leader, you will beresponsible for Coaching our client's partners’ teams (in office and In trade),managing, training, and coaching of the Pioneers, Promotional Ambassadors andTrade Activators in the region to drive our rate-of-sale and ensure thereturn-on-investment in all areas.

The Team Leader's responsibilitieswill include (All Inland Offices x4) & Retail - Gauteng, FS, NW, Limpopo,Mpumalanga & Regional Key Account & Planners - FS, Limpopo &Mpumalanga. This position will be responsible for delivering presentations topotential and existing customers, evaluating the performance of the sales team,and preparing concise sales reports.

You should also be able to develop aswell as modify customer frequency plans as needed.

 

• Managing, supporting, measuring& motivating the Partners against agreed criteria

• Managing, training, and providingoverall guidance to the sales team, Trade activators, and Promotionalambassadors of an assigned territory.

• Managing Partners and eventuallyCustomer Groups (DC) stock an on-hand from a replenishment aspect.

• Monitoring the performance of thesales team, Trade activators, and Promotional ambassadors and motivating membersto meet or exceed sales targets.

• Balanced, profitable value &volume growth across all Channels & Partners & Customer Group with bothhorizontal outlet expansion supported by ROS off-take, negotiate within setparameters.

• Implementing a sales managementthe process to assist the sales team in identifying and prioritizing key customersand prospects.

• Reaching the sales targets and goalsset for your area

• Weekly and monthly meetings withpotential and existing customers within an assigned sales area to presentcompany offerings and build brand awareness.

• Developing and sustaining long-termrelationships with customers and all key partners.

• Weekly and monthly collectingcustomer feedback and market research and additional monthly reporting tosenior managers on the status quo.

• Schedule trade visits with partnersand sales team members accompanied by action plans and timeous feedback tomanagement.

• Monitoring actual sales numbersversus targets and implementing corrective measures where applicable.

 

• 8 years Sales Management experiencein the FMCG /Beverage industry.

• 50 % of this role will be HORECA andsuccessful previous experience as a HORECA Manager and solid experience inmanaging Partners or Distributors is required.

• Related degree would beadvantageous.

• Excellent Computer literacy.

• Exposure to leading and performancemanaging a sales team advantageous.

 

• Strong organizational skills.

• Able to work independently.

• Enthusiastic team member withexcellent people management skills.

• Ability to connect with and nurturerelationships with clients, customers, colleagues, suppliers, and serviceproviders.

• Hard-working, self-motivated,caring, can-do-will-do worker.

• Excellent business communicationskills.

• Results are driven.

 

Due to the nature of the business andthe phase in the lifecycle, you will be required to support and perform activitiesoutside of the above-described role, as well as occasionally outside of thestandard operating hours.
